Seattle Trip

Event Date: Sunday, October 21
We went to Seattle! And by we I mean mom, aunt Ira, me, Yana, Lora, and Nakkita. The weather was on our side, it didn't rain but it was bitterly cold. Lora referred to Seattle as "Elevator Land" and it couldn't have been more ironic that when Lora twisted her foot after running near the International Fountain that the elevator to the parking garage was full so we had to take the stairs. Elevator Land failed her.

We decided to visit Seattle solely for the sake of touring the gloomy city, and tour we did. We walked the pier, walked a mile to the Space Needle, rode the Seattle Monorail, splashed around the International Fountain, had a food cart pizza for lunch, fiddled at Pike's Place Market, got hot chocolates from the first Starbucks in the world, ate from a french bakery for breakfast, and even walked in on a Turkish festival. Heads up: If you're ever looking for a quick way to get from Pike's Place to the Space Needle, the Monorail is the way to go. For $4/ person roundtrip you can avoid the rain and save yourself a mile of walking- I highly recommend it.
