An accumulation of the smartest things I've ever heard.

1. Anybody can be great... because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.  MLK Jr.

2.  All you have shall one day be given. Therefore give now, that the season of giving may be yours and not your inheritors.  Kahill Gibran

3. Smile at each other, smile at your wife, smile at your husband, smile at your children, smile at each other - it doesn't matter who it is - and that will help you grow up in greater love for each other. Mother Teresa

4. The best portion of a good man's life; his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love. William Wordsworth

5. I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something I can do. Edward Everett Hale

6. At the end of life we will not be judged by how many diplomas we have received, how much money we have made, how many great things we have done.

We will be judged by 'I was hungry and you gave me to eat, I was naked and you clothed me, I was homeless and you took me in.'

Hungry not only for bread -- but hungry for love. Naked not only for clothing -- but naked for human dignity and respect. Homeless not only for want of a room of bricks -- but homeless because of rejection.  Mother Teresa

7. I expect to pass through this world but once; any good thing therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now; let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again. William Penn

8. Remembering you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart. Steve Jobs

9. Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect. Mark Twain

10. Someone was hurt before you, wronged before you, hungry before you, frightened before you, beaten before you, humiliated before you... yet, someone survived... You can do anything you choose to do. Maya Angelou

20. The reason most people never reach their goals is that they don't define them, or even ever seriously consider them as believable or achievable. Winners can tell you where they are going, what they plan to do along the way, and who will be sharing the adventure with them. Denis Watley

21. I followed her lead by following no one's lead at all. M.L.

22. God doesn't bless you by feeding your greed.

23. Never satisfied, always content.

24. Well, what is essential about you? And who are those who have helped you become the person that you are? Anyone who has ever graduated from a college, anyone who had ever been able to sustain a good work,  had had at least one person and often many who have believed in him or her. We just don't get to be competent human beings without a lot of different investments from others. Fred Rogers

29. Promise me you'll always remember: you're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. Christopher Robin to Pooh.

30. Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. Charles Swindoll
(Longer Version): The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.”
